Our Week - Nov. 7-9

We started our week by completing Language Arts Centres. We enjoyed making play-doh letters, pretending we were the teacher and printing letters on the chart stand, listening to Leap Frog letters, doing letter apps on the iPads and reading our baggie books!

We were so HAPPY the rain stopped as we got a chance to enjoy our outside play structure!

We met our puppet friend Amit and learned that he celebrates Diwali, which takes place at the end of October or the beginning of November. "Diwa" in the Hindi language means "lighted lamps" and during this 5 day festival his family decorates their house with lights. We all made our very own Rangoli design!

We also read the story 'Five Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed' by Eileen Christelow and enjoyed acting it out!!!!!

We ended our short week by listening to Ms. Denine as she read a story about 'Peace' and how we can become peacemakers by being good listeners, using our hands for helping and using our words to always say nice and kind things to everyone. What a great lesson!!!!!!!
